The protections that
let a Veplex trade settle
Veplex stands between every counterparty in a trade. That position only works if the protections sit with us. Here is the full posture: what we verify, what we hold, what we cover, and who we are.
Counterparty integrity
Source-side screening and visibility
- Before Veplex's agents bridge a listing, the source seller is screened on their host platform: tenure, seller score, dispute history, return rate, and listing accuracy. Low-quality sources don't enter the network.
- Every trade Veplex executes is a normal, fully-identified transaction on its host marketplace. The source seller sees a regular buyer with full feedback and dispute rights. There are no shadow purchases.
- End-buyers and end-sellers are identity-verified by their own host marketplaces under each platform's KYC. Veplex transacts on top of those programs, not in place of them.
Settlement
Payments on host rails
- Veplex does not run an escrow. Each leg of a Veplex-mediated trade settles on its host marketplace's own payment rail (PayPal, Etsy Payments, marketplace-native checkout).
- When a deal closes, the destination-side payment is received and the source-side payment is sent in parallel. No funds idle in transit. No Veplex-controlled wallet sits between buyer and seller.
- Currency conversion, fees, and tax remittance happen inside each marketplace's own checkout, the same way they would for any other transaction on that platform.
Protection
Native programs on every leg
- Each leg is covered by the host marketplace's own protection program: buyer protection on the destination side, seller protection on the source side.
- Veplex doesn't replace, supplement, or compete with these programs. The marketplaces' remedies are the remedies.
- Veplex's role is operational: discovering, bridging, translating, coordinating settlement. The host platforms carry the dispute liability they always have.
Disputes
Resolution routing
- Disputes on either leg are filed through that marketplace's own resolution program, the same way any other trade would be disputed.
- Veplex coordinates by providing the full bridge log on request: every translation, every negotiation step, listing snapshot, payment record, shipping events.
- Veplex appears in the dispute as the party it is on that platform (buyer on the source side, seller on the destination side) and remediates within each marketplace's published SLA.
Data and privacy
GDPR posture
- Personal data is processed under GDPR. Lawful basis is contract performance for trade data, and legitimate interest for fraud and compliance.
- Data residency is within the EU. Sub-processors are listed in the public DPA, available on request.
- Subject access, rectification, and erasure requests are handled within 30 days. File them through the contact form on this site.
Corporate
Who Veplex is
- Veplex is operated by Everything s.r.o., a limited company registered in the Czech Republic.
- Annual financials are filed in the Czech commercial register and publicly available.
- Veplex maintains general liability and professional indemnity insurance through an EU-authorised insurer. Certificate available on request.
